Day 1: Nairobi /Nanyuki: Leave Nairobi early in the morning and drive towards Nanyuki town which is in the Rift Valley of Kenya. The town is situated at the foot of Mt Kenya (2nd tallest mountain in Africa). Just before reaching the town, you will witness the crossing of the world famous EQUATOR which is an imaginary line that divides the world into two. You will also have a clear view of Mt Kenya the only snow capped mountain along the Equator and a UN World heritage site. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 2:Nanyuki: After early breakfast, drive to some of the beautiful flowers farms near Mt Kenya. Later on visit wheat growing farms and join the farmers in cultivating and tendering their crops using the traditional tools such as hoes. In the afternoon visit the Mt Kenya Game Park / Sweetwater’s ranch for a game drive which is popular for the big elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, leopards, zebras and lions. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 3: Nanyuki /Nyahururu : After breakfast, drives towards Nyahururu Town which is at the foot of the Nyandarua Highlands where the Britons had settled in the 19th century. You visit these rich agricultural farms growing traditional foods such maize, millet and beans as the climate is very cool. The local people also practice dairy farming. An African experience of milking the cattle using hands can be real exciting. In the afternoon take a walk to the bottom of the amazing Thomson Falls, (one of the longest waterfalls in Africa). The waterfall has many birds’ species, butterflies and chameleons. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 4:Nyahururu /Nyeri: After an early morning breakfast drive towards Nyeri town in Central Kenya arriving on time for lunch. The town is along the Aberdare Ranges and Highlands that are sources to many big rivers. In the afternoon visit the Nyeri open market and mingle with the locals selling their farm produce, a most memorable experience. Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 5: Nyeri: After an early morning breakfast drive towards the coffee farms. You spend some time with the farmers working in their farms while learning and acquiring some skills in coffee harvesting. You may also have a chance to taste the best coffee in the world. After lunch you visit the Lord Baden Powell site and grave side. Baden Powell from England is the world famous founder of the Scouting Movement in 1907 and started same in Kenya in 1910. He died in Kenya in 1941 and was buried in Nyeri town near the Aberdare forests that is facing Mt Kenya. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 6: Nyeri: After an early morning breakfast drive towards the tea farms along the Aberdare ranges which are the (longest ranges in Africa). You join the local farmers in the farms and witness tea harvesting. In the afternoon take your harvested leaves to the tea buying centre and also visit a tea processing factory. You will also have a chance to enjoy a cup of most sweetest tea in the world. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 7: Nyeri /Nairobi: After an early morning breakfast drive towards Nairobi and on the way pass along the coffee,bananas and pineapple plantations. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon for lunch and later dropped to your city hotel or at the Jomo Kenyatta airport for your safe flight back home.
